Day 1: ST. PETERSBURG |

Day 2: ST. PETERSBURG |

Breakfast Meeting with guide. Visit the cruiser Aurora, the one of the great symbols of Revolution. It’s shot gun was the signal for the beginning of active actions on the Palace square. Visit Palace Square and Hermitage Museum. Winter Palace, the residence of Russian emperors, has become the main object of conquest for revolutionist in 1917. Now here is an art collection of pictures, archaeological finds, jewelry, utensils, etc., the total number of more than 3 million exhibits. Lunch at a local restaurant Learn of Kazansky Cathedral. Day 3: ST. PETERSBURG |

Breakfast. Meeting with guide. Journey to another historically significant site - Smolny. Till 1917 the Institute for Noble Maidens, the first in Russia women's educational institution, which laid the foundation for women's education, was located here. In October 1917, the Institute was moved, and the vacant building became the headquarters of the Bolshevik uprising, which was led by the Petrograd Military Revolutionary Committee. Smolny then served as the headquarters of the Bolshevik government and Lenin personally. In November 1917, the All-Russian Congress of Soviets, which adopted the "Decrees on Peace and on Land," was held here. Now Smolny is the official residence of the governor of St. Petersburg, and the city's government and administration work here. Visit Finljandski Railway Station. On April, 03, in 1917 Lenin has come to Petrograd and made a speech to workers directly in the Station. The locomotive that brought him, is located on the station platform in glass pavilion now. Visit State Museum of the Political History of Russia. The Museum collection covers the period of Russian history beginning with the reign of Catherine II and continuing to the most recent events in political life of Russia. Especial sightseeing tour “Red Leningrad” to learn history of Under-Ground people, cafe, rock-musicians, closed Soviet shops as “Death to Husbands” and “Beriozka”; ban of currency exchange in USSR and many different story from 20 century. Visit Piskaryovsky Memorial Cemetery. In this territory is a place of burials of Leningrad’s residents were dying of starvation during the Blockade. | |

It wasExhibition of Achievements of National Economy in past, collecting in this territory the most advanced achievements of the Soviet Union. Now this park is a museum of Soviet standard architecture. You will see pathetic fountains and pavilions of the former Soviet republics and many buildings are devoted to different kinds of arts, culture and science. Breakfast Meeting with guide. Visit Novodevichy Cemetery. It functions from XVI century and in this place you can see burials of good known people as daughters of Ivan Terrible and tsar Alexey, wife of Peter the Great, Russian writers Chekhov, singer Shalyapin, painter Levitan, etc., and many persons of social position as president Boris Eltsyn and Mstislav Rostropovich.
