TOUR TO THE LAKE BAIKAL

from May to September

The trip includes visits to Irkutsk, Listvyanka, a circular railway Line of the Baikal, the Sea Maloye,

the island of Olkhon.

Day 1

Arrival in the airport or the train station. City tour of Irkutsk.

Transfer to lake Baikal to the tourist village Listvyanka.

Panoramic tour with a walk on the shore of Baikal. Visit to the souvenir market & the market of fish.

A visit to the Museum of Baikal where you can learn about the flora and fauna of the lake.

Lunch.

A visit to the Museum Taltsy to learn about the history and culture of the peoples of Siberia in the East. The open air museum represents a siberian village, where are reproduced the four areas of ethnic local population.

Hotel accommodation in Listvyanka.

Dinner.

Day 2

Breakfast in the hotel.

Transfer to the pier and move to board a ferry to the port Baikal.

Around the edge of the train on the Circular Railway of Baikal to admire the scenic beauty of the area around the lake.

Lunch.

On the train there will be a tour guide. It will be a stop for a walk and take some photos near the lake Baikal.

Transfer for dinner.

Accommodation at the hotel in Irkutsk.

Day 3

Breakfast in the hotel.

Departure for the Small Sea (part of the Baikal) in coach, the trip takes 4 hours about. Destination point: tourist resort on the shore of Baikal.

The road is planned a stop for lunch in a small restaurant kitchen Buriata.

Accommodation & free time.

Dinner.

Day 4

Breakfast at the Hotel

Hike in the steppes of Tageran and visit the salt lakes - with lunch.

The steppes of Tageran that you are on the last stretch of road towards the “Small Sea” kept many of the rock drawings, mysterious caves and relics sciamane. In addition, in the steppes of Tageran there are many salt lakes.

Return to resort and dinner.

Day 5

Breakfast at the resort.

Departure for the island of Olkhon which is the largest on lake Baikal. The Olkhon island is part of the nature Park, and is considered one of the most beautiful places of the area of Baikal.

The trip on the ferry to the island of Olkhon, transfer to the capital of the island – village Khugir.

Accommodation at a tourist station.

Lunch at the tourist station.

Panoramic tour of Khugir. Visit the Head of the sacred Burkhan (“the Rock of the Shaman”) is considered one of the nine sacred places of Asia. In the rock there is a cave passing where, according to legend, lives the spirit of the Master of the island. In the course of the centuries this was the place of rites, shamans and sacrifices.

Visit the shop of local crafts.

Evening tour by boat in between the islands of the Small More. Duration 2 hours.

During the tour you can admire the breathtaking scenery, take pictures to the sunset, feeding the seagulls silver that make nests in the area of the island Bolshoy Tainak (known as the “Crocodile”).

Back at the station, the tourist. Dinner.

Day 6

Breakfast at the resort.

10:00 Travel off-road UAZ (Russian landrover) to reach the North end of the island as Cape Khoboy. This is a place of extraordinary beauty has an incredible energy. Panoramic view on the Great Baikal is opening.

At lunch you can taste the fish soup with Omul of lake Baikal prepared on the campfire by our naturalist guides.

During the trip you will visit the places Urocisce Pescianoye where in the times of Stalin it was a concentration camp of forced labor where were brought to the families of the so-called “enemies of the people”.

Return to resort and dinner.

Day 7

Breakfast at the resort. Transfer to Irkutsk.

Arrival to Irkutsk. Transfer to the airport.
